QUALITY AND WASTAGE
Lush are dedicated to using high quality and ethically sourced natural ingredients. If they are not happy with the quality of the ingredients they will not use it in their product or will discontinue the product completely.
For example:
The sacred truth face mask which was one of their best sellers was out of stock for a while due to the quality of ingredient’s not being up to standard. This signifies how passionate lush are about their product.
Lush chooses not to make excess stock, in order to keep wastage to an absolute minimum. However because the products are made from fresh ingredients, they tend to have a short shelf life, which is a limitation as this leads to some wastage even though excess stock is not being produced.
For Example:
Facemasks have a shelf life of three week, after which they need to be discarded/ binned.
